PROBLEM STATEMENT

Country and state governments spend crores of rupees every year for the development of villages. Despite this, the plight of many villages of the country is not taking the name of ending for years. The people of the village are so helpless that if a person dies in their house, they do not even get Mukti Dham to perform the last rites. Due to nonavailability of place for cremation, the villagers have to perform the last rites of the dead body on the roadside. The people who come to the funeral have to sit on the roadside and the pyre is lit on the road. Due to lack of space for cremation grounds, the villagers sometimes perform the last rites in the fields or on the roadside, while many times during the rainy season people perform the last rites by placing a tarpaulin or putting up a shelter themselves, whose videos have also surfaced many times. Despite this, non-availability of cremation grounds in many panchayats is a big problem for the people. Basic facilities are not being provided to them. The villagers say that there is neither facility of drinking water nor roads and other facilities. Dozens of public welfare schemes are being run by the central and state governments, but they are not getting the benefits of the schemes. On death, the family members are immersed in mourning, while the villagers are worried about his last rituals as to how the last rituals will be performed in the rainy season. Complaints have been made dozens of times to the administrative officers and public representatives to solve the problems, but even after this the condition remains the same. Due to incessant rain, the relatives have to wait for the last rituals. Even after this, when the rain does not stop, the last rites are performed by tying polythene in the field.

Before this, a place is made by cutting the crop standing in the field, then the last rituals are performed somewhere and due to lack of wood or sticks, the dead body has to be burnt with hay let, tyre, sawdust, sugar, which is a very shameful. In today’s time, if the dead body is not cremated with full arrangement or respect, then it is a sad thing, today our India is moving towards Digital India. But the crematoriums in the rural areas are still backward. The Amrit Mahotsav of Independence was celebrated with great fanfare in the country. What the country has gained, what it has lost and what remains to be done after independence was expected to be discussed on this occasion. But the discussion was about politics. Political parties celebrated Amrit in their own way. Even after 75 years of independence, citizens have to march for basic amenities. The same is being seen even after years of work on sewerage, water, roads and electricity. Persistent displeasure from the public about this is being expressed. But politicians and political parties are seen ignoring the basic questions of the people. Even today there are many villages in rural areas where there is no cremation ground Problem Statement.
